The autopilot stared at the controls uneasily, hand hovering over the instrument panel. He hesitated for a moment before activating the PA. A turquoise screen flickered into existance - followed by the chime and logo of the megacorporation:

"B - N - L!"

And the unfeeling demeanor of the pale android projected itself throughout the Axiom's interior network.

"Due to a severe increase in defective robot activity, the Axiom is being placed in a temporary emergency lock-down. Passengers are advised to remain in their rooms as much as possible to avoid injury. The swift capture and detainment of these dangerous machines will ensure that the situation shall be alleviated in a short amount of time.

If you spot one of these defective robots, do not go near them. Contact security at your local steward kiosk. Unauthorized access to the Bridge, the Brig, and other areas are strictly prohibited until the lock-down is lifted. These areas will be clearly marked, and any unauthorized persons will be apprehended and detained. Any further questions can be answered on Inquiry Menu in any computer terminal or hover chair."
